The septum divides the right side from the left side.
The heart also contains valves which are one-way valves where the back flow of the blood is prevented.
There are four valves: 2 sigmoids, 1 tricuspid and 1 bicuspid.
The tricuspid valve is between the right atrium and the right ventricle. while the bicuspid valve is between the left atrium and left ventricle.The sigmoid valves are found inside both the pulmonary artery and aorta.
Note: all arteries except the pulmonary artery carries oxygenated blood and all veins except pulmonary vein carries deoxygenated blood.
